Release Notes: SPOC (6.1.1 On-Premises)

The SharePoint Online Connector (SPOC) has been updated to support Label Based Record Locking (LBRL)

Features

Label Based Record Locking

The ability to use a Purview record retention label for locking records has been added to the application. When enabled and configured, this functionality will lock all records day-forward with Purview retention labels.

Several caveats for Label-based Record Locking:

  • The functionality can only be used by clients with E5 licenses from Microsoft.

  • The functionality must be enabled and configured before it can be used.

  • See this advisory for further details.

  • Registering SharePoint sites for Gimmal Records has been moved to the SPOC Administrator Portal. See this article for more details.
