Viewing Records

Gimmal Physical provides a number of options to view the details of individual records.

To view an individual item in Gimmal Physical:

  1. Click on the item type tab of the items you are interested in viewing (A). For example, if you want to view Boxes, click on the Boxes tab.

  2. Search for specific items using any of the search options. To view all records, click ‘Search’ without using criteria.

  3. Select an item to be viewed by either: 

    1. Clicking on the first column of desired item, displayed as a hyperlink (B). This will take you to the Item View page for the selected record.

    2. Checking the box next to an item to select the record in the home page grid (1) and then clicking the View action button and selecting ‘Record’ from the drop down box (2).

Clicking on any other link in the Home Page Grid (C,D) will take you to the associated record of the type listed in the referenced column.

View Page

On the View page for the selected item, you can:

  1. Review details of the record relevant to this item type (A)

  2. Given the proper permissions, you can access various action buttons to work further with this item (B).

  3. Navigate to different records from the original result set queries in the Home Page Grid (C). Options include: First records, previous records, next record and last record. The label lists the current record out of the total set. Application preferences can be set to choose whether to use the queried page limit (suggested) or the entire query for the total value.

  4. If applicable, see the contents of a container item and access actions that can be performed with those contents via links (D).

  5. View (expandable) system generated fields (E).
