This document lists the prerequisites, such as software, configuration, and data, required before you can install and configure the Gimmal Link suite.

Prerequisite Software and Configuration

To install and configure Gimmal Link 5.7.1, you need the following:

  • When storing files on SharePoint Server, SharePoint must be installed and functional (i.e. SharePoint 2016/2019/SharePoint Client Components version 15)
    Note:  If Gimmal Link is deployed to SharePoint Online (M365), no SharePoint on-premises environment is required.

  • SQL Server version 2012 or later

  • Windows Server 2016 and above, including Server 2022

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7 or higher

  • SharePoint Site Collection

  • SAP .Net Connector 3.1.  To access the installation files, see the SAP Service Marketplace at Be sure to install the assemblies to GAC.
